Whilst it hasn’t been the driest summer our builders have persevered and in the past few weeks completed the hotel’s new entrances.
Both hotel residents and local customers can now enter the hotel via our main steps or our bar and brasserie entrance. The latter benefits from a gentle ramp which means anyone in wheels can readily get in with very little effort.
Both entrances have been fitted with an individual glass and steel canopy, made by a local engineering firm, which has replaced the previous plastic awnings.
For comfort and safety all entrances are well lit, with the hotel entrance steps also being illuminated at floor level so helping you to find your way to and from the street level.
Ease of access for everyone
We’ve already had family sized luggage, buggies, prams, wheelchairs and lots more using the new access. From ladies that drop in for coffee, to families staying for a long weekend (and you can imagine the volume of belongings that entails), through to locals coming in for dinner with the little ones; all have said how welcome the new arrangements are.
And with a lift to all floors from reception, we can now claim to be step free throughout, for the majority of our guests.
We are very pleased with the final results and grateful to our local suppliers for their help and our summer guests who endured a couple of days of disruption. We hope you agree that its been worth it!
