Our recent investment in this classic Victorian building has delivered brand new contemporary interiors and modern facilities for all our guests. Our modern facilities are available all year round and have been purposely rebuilt with corporate events in mind. Small touches like plenty of sockets, new glazing for improved soundproofing, WiFi throughout and easy accessibility mean that your event is stress-free. With car parking on site available free of charge on a first, come first park basis.
As an owner operated hotel we put great service at the heart of the business. Our team will respond to your needs, plan well through asking all the right questions, and look after both your team and delegates effectively. We offer flexibility right up to the day of the event. Our recent investment of £1million has seen all public areas, reception, lounges, bar, brasserie, and guest bedrooms completely rebuilt. New features have been added – our snug library, a well-appointed gym, cocktail bar, brasserie and more, plus we are adding more facilities this autumn 2018. IT wise, superfast technology, smart TV’s and security features will add to your attendee’s experience.
Led by our chef/patron, the small team in our kitchen cook from scratch. From farm to fork, we are always sourcing new seasonal ingredients from small local producers, handcrafting these into honest food. Real thought has gone into the food and drink we offer at your event, including seasonal changes to menus that deliver cost-effective options to you.
With prices from £99 per delegate for 24-hour delegate packages and just £40.50 per delegate for a daytime meeting we believe we offer you an affordable option. Our rates and packages are fully costed, you won’t find any hidden extras. For block bookings, repeat customers and multiple events we can offer loyalty discounts, please ask for further information.
You can rely on us to help you plan the detail of your event. If you want to offer delegates activities we can set you up with our partners. Outdoor, indoor and in-house we have a lot more activities that can keep your attendees engaged.

The Carlton’s modern event and meeting spaces are laid out over two floors, through our ground floor and lower ground. With our reception, lounge and break out areas convenient to all your event rooms. Our compact nature ensures you won’t worry about attendees getting lost, or expensive wayfinding signage. We may be compact but our layout packs in a lot of punch and avoid too much clutter.
From 10 to 150 our spaces can flex to accommodate with a choice of room setups. Events, meetings, workshops, and seminars can readily be set up in our popular rooms including
Burlesque – on the lower ground a discreet space, ideal for smaller seminars, training events & workshops
Club – our largest floorspace, with integral bar, high ceilings, plenty of natural light
Stage – adjacent to and can be linked to Club space.
Conveniently accessible from street level, we are step free with a lift that travels to all internal floors.
We have superfast broadband services distributed over a great WiFi network to all areas of the building, and mobile phone coverage is excellent on most networks.
We have a variety of fixed and mobile smart TV ideal for presentations. With minimal fuss, you can be connected to the cloud or your personal device. Flipcharts, paper, and pens are all included within the package prices.
A purpose-built cloakroom can accommodate coats, brollies, and bags for day delegate attendees.
We’ve space for 18 vehicles on our forecourt. All adjacent streets are un-restricted, so car parking is readily available to your attendees.
